Update...finally!

So...it's been forever since I updated, but not a whole lot has happened.

Myla offically has turned 1 year old and she's acting a lot less like a puppy. I've been taking her to work with me about once a week, and she loves it! A big perk is that she always comes home exhausted. Going to work with me has also helped her get over her fear of little kids. They still kind of scare her, but she is more willing to actually go up and sniff them when they aren't looking.

We start another round of dog training on Monday. This time, it will be more agility based, and I am super excited about that! Myla is just so athletic, I don't know if I will be able to keep up with her!

That's about it...not much to report this summer!

Mutt Strut 2011

Myla and I will be "strutting our stuff" at CCHS's Mutt Strut this year. It is this Saturday, May 7th. I am really excited, and I know we will have a lot of fun!

Wow! It's Been Forever!

Sorry I haven't been updating Myla's Blog!! Holiday season was busy, then I had computer issues, but I'm back...finally!

Myla has grown up so much in the past couple months. She now weighs in at 26lbs. The vet tells me that she shouldn't grow too much bigger. Right now, she is the perfect size...at least for me. I can still pick her up, but she isn't too small that I think I could break her. We have finished our second round of training classes and are getting ready to start a third set here pretty soon. She loves going to training and has a doggie buddy there that she can't wait to play with as soon as class is over. I'm thinking of starting agility with her. She is just SO fast when she runs. Anyway, I have a few videos and pictures to share with you.

This is Myla with my friend's dog Jackson. They absolutely LOVE each other!

She is barking with the ball in her mouth. Sometimes she won't put that ball down for nothing!

She likes to eat her food off of the floor, so we created a game, which she LOVES!

Graduation!

Today, Myla finished her first 6 weeks of training classes!! She did awesome and was one of the best ones in her class! I signed up for the next round, which doesn't start until January, but I'm really excited and can't wait to see what else she can learn to do!

Tomorrow, Myla gets her last round of puppy shots. I really want to know what she weighs. She has had a growth spurt, and is no longer my tiny little puppy. She is now bigger and heavier than Sunny!!

In the next couple day, my mom and I are going to attempt an all house pets Christmas photo for our Christmas cards. I can't foresee it going very well, but we are sure going to try. I'll post the pictures as soon as I have them.

Working Out with Myla

This is what Myla was doing while I was working out on my Wii Fit. Sometimes, I wish I could live her life!!

Then she decided that she wanted to help, which resulted in her stealing the remote and running off with it. Needless to say, I had to stop and play with her (and take cute pictures in the process!).

These next 2 are for you CindyPup! She still loves her panda! It did have to have surgery though, and no longer has a nose, but she still loves it just the same!

Myla and Jaz

Today, Myla met my bird, Jaz. Myla was very curious and Jaz has no problems with any of our other pets, but Myla became a little too much for Jaz. However, Myla was very respectful after she got pecked in the nose a couple times! I'm really glad her prey drive isn't very high, otherwise we may have some problems!
